Will I have to disassemble my current bed?

Not entirely. Our open front barrier attaches to the corner legs using the same '1 turn of the allen key' fixing as your toddler bed or toddler house bed. You simply need to remove the mattress and mattress slats (6 screws only), unlock your front leg fixings and swap the barrier out. You then just need to re-fit your mattress slats (6 screws only) and you are good to go.
